Uploading your own media

Review your rights to the media and learn how safety and file checks work.

What Charigent checks

The upload flow checks file type and content, scans for malware, rejects files that do not match their declared format, and applies feature-specific size, dimensions, frame, and duration limits. Images, video frames, audio, and transcripts can be screened by content moderation. Files are sanitized and stored privately. If a required scanner or private storage is unavailable, the upload is stopped.

Rights and consent

Confirm that you have the rights to use each file. For media that includes a person, confirm their consent and that they are not a public figure. Voice samples require the speaker’s consent. A cleared upload stays private until you choose to publish or use it in a connected feature. These checks protect people’s rights, your account, and the safety of the service.
