We believe in 100% upfront clarity so every partner understands exactly how commissions mature, how unpaid account balances are offset, and how withdrawals are protected.
1. Pending Balance & 60-Day Holdback Window
Commissions accrue strictly on net paid subscription invoices after Stripe fees, taxes, and discounts ($0.00 on 7-day free trials or pay-as-you-go credit top-ups). Accrued commissions enter your Pending Balance for 60 days to clear refund and card-dispute windows.
2. Automatic Dollar-for-Dollar Balance Setoff (1:1)
If you also use paid Charigent features and your account has an unpaid or past-due subscription renewal fee, a negative platform wallet balance, or an unrecovered chargeback reversal, maturing or available affiliate commissions are automatically deducted dollar-for-dollar (1:1) to pay down your outstanding platform balance first.
3. Strict Withdrawal Lock Only When a Balance Is Owed
No paid subscription is required to earn or withdraw affiliate commissions. Withdrawals and wallet transfers are only locked if your account has an unpaid subscription invoice or negative balance greater than $0.00 USD.

Do I need a paid Charigent subscription to promote Charigent and earn commissions?
No! Joining the Charigent Affiliate Program is 100% free. How do automatic balance deductions (setoff) and withdrawal locks work?
If you also use paid Charigent plans or credits and your subscription renewal fails (past_due/unpaid), your usage wallet goes negative, or your account has an unrecovered chargeback reversal, any maturing or available affiliate commission balance is automatically applied dollar-for-dollar (1:1) to clear that owed platform fee first. Withdrawals are locked while any balance greater than $0.00 is owed.
How does Dual Attribution (Referral Link + Automated Promo Code) work?
When you share your referral link (?ref=CODE), we store a 60-day attribution cookie. In addition, your automated promo code (e.g., DAN20) gives new subscribers 20% off their first paid billing cycle at checkout. If a buyer enters your promo code at checkout—even on a different device with no referral cookie—the subscription is attributed directly to you.
How does the 5% Tier 2 Sub-Affiliate Override work?
When someone signs up through your referral link or promo code and later enrolls as an active Charigent Affiliate Partner themselves, they become your Tier 2 sub-affiliate. Whenever they refer a paying subscriber, they earn their 25%–30% Tier 1 commission and you earn an additional 5% Tier 2 override on that subscriber for up to 12 billing cycles.
Why is there a 60-day holdback before commissions become Available?
Like leading SaaS partner programs, commissions remain in Pending status for 60 days after each paid invoice to cover standard credit-card dispute, chargeback, and refund windows. If a referred invoice is refunded or disputed, the associated commission is automatically clawed back.
What promotional practices are prohibited?
To protect brand reputation, affiliates may never publish negative, defamatory, or scam-bait clickbait (e.g., "Is Charigent a Scam?"), bid on "Charigent" brand keywords in paid search ads, impersonate official Charigent channels, or engage in self-referrals. Violations result in immediate termination and 100% forfeiture of balances.
