Data Deletion

Last updated: April 2026 - This page explains how Charigent account deletion works, including the immediate in-product deletion flow and manual support requests when you cannot access the account.

You can delete your Charigent account and associated personal data at any time. If you need a copy of your data first, export it before confirming deletion or contact us for assistance before the account is removed. This page supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. How to Request Deletion

If you are signed in to Charigent, go to Settings > Account and use the delete account flow. That in-product flow is immediate and irreversible once confirmed.

When you confirm self-serve deletion, Charigent immediately deletes or anonymises core account records, removes active workspace data from the primary product tables, and cancels any active subscription associated with the account.

2. If You Cannot Access Your Account

If you cannot sign in, email [email protected] from the email address associated with your Charigent account, or contact us via the contact page. If you no longer control the original email address, include enough information for us to verify ownership before we process the request.

3. What to Include in a Manual Request

  • Your Charigent account email address.
  • The subject line: "Data Deletion Request".
  • Whether you want account deletion only, or deletion plus export assistance.
  • Any connected platforms you want explicitly revoked or disconnected.

4. Export Before Deletion

If you want a copy of your Charigent data, request export assistance before the account is deleted. Once self-serve deletion is confirmed, Charigent treats the deletion as final and irreversible.

If you are locked out and need both export and deletion help, tell us that in your manual request so we can coordinate verification, export, and removal in the right order.

5. What Happens Next

For self-serve deletion, the main account-deletion workflow runs immediately after confirmation. For manual requests, we will acknowledge the request, verify account ownership, and target completion within 30 days for normal cases.

During a manual request workflow, account access may be suspended or disabled to prevent new data from being created while deletion is underway.

6. What We Delete

  • Account profile data and authentication records associated with the user.
  • Stored prompts, generated outputs, uploads, and workspace content tied to the account.
  • Connected-platform tokens and integration metadata no longer needed after disconnect.
  • Optional BYOK credentials stored for the account.

7. What May Be Retained

Some records may need to be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or accounting reasons. Examples include billing records, charge history, abuse investigation records, and limited audit logs.

Charigent may also retain anonymised financial and audit-trail records where deletion of the identifying fields is not enough to eliminate a legal retention obligation.

Deleted data may persist temporarily in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before normal overwrite cycles remove it.

8. Connected Platforms

If you connected Google, Meta, TikTok, Slack, Discord, or other third-party services to Charigent, we will remove the stored Charigent-side connection data as part of deletion. You should also revoke the app from the relevant provider account settings if you want immediate provider-side token invalidation.

9. Questions

For deletion questions or status updates, email [email protected] or [email protected].
