Billing explained

Learn how wallet credits, quotes, holds, trials, BYOK fees, and refunds work.

Wallet credits

Your wallet is a balance in US dollars for paid AI use. Plans can include a credit allowance, and trial accounts can receive a one-time balance. Credits are not cash and cannot be paid out. Review Billing for your balance and transaction history.

Quotes and holds

Review the quote and options before you start paid work. Some jobs reserve credits first. A hold is a temporary reserve, not an extra charge. After a job finishes, completed usage is charged and eligible unused credits return to your wallet. If a request is still pending, check its status before you retry.

Charges and refunds

A completed paid service uses credits or the payment method shown at checkout. Charigent does not refund subscriptions, credit purchases, or completed purchases, except where the law requires it. If a provider fails before a charge is completed, eligible held credits return to your wallet as credits, not cash. Contact support about a duplicate or incorrect charge. Read the Refund Policy for details.

The 7-day trial

An individual trial lasts 7 days, requires a payment card, and grants 50% of the selected plan's monthly credits. It includes character preparation, one watermarked 5-second Standard video preview, and one 4-image Budget pack. The preview and pack use trial credits. Frontier video, Talking video, and full reels are not included. The plan starts and bills automatically unless you cancel before the trial ends. We email you 3 days before the first charge.

BYOK fees

BYOK is available on active or trialing Business and Enterprise subscriptions. Charigent charges 7% of estimated provider cost, with a $0.001 minimum once per AI request. Voice and SMS have no added minimum. The routing fee is charged through your Charigent wallet. Your provider may bill your key directly.

Failed-job credits

If the provider does not charge us, all held credits return. If the provider charges us for an objectively failed shot, credits return when the job charge is at or below the captured $5.00 threshold. Above that threshold, one free regeneration of the failed shots is offered instead. Portrait includes one initial take and at most one objective-defect replacement. These are wallet credits, never a cash refund.

3D Secure applies to wallet top-ups and first payments when the amount is strictly greater than $100.00, or when Stripe Radar flags elevated risk. Stripe Radar checks stay on.
