Google API Limited Use Disclosure

Last updated: October 18, 2026

This disclosure explains how Charigent uses Google API Services and YouTube API Services data when a user connects Google services such as Google Sign-In, Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, or YouTube.

Limited Use Compliance

Charigent's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Charigent does not sell Google or YouTube user data, does not use it for advertising or ad targeting, does not share it with data brokers, and does not use raw or derived Google Workspace or YouTube API user data to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

How Charigent Uses Google Workspace API Data

Charigent uses Google Workspace API data only to provide the Google-connected features that the user explicitly authorizes, such as listing calendars, checking availability, creating calendar events, updating events, deleting events, and showing connection status inside the Charigent workspace.

OAuth credentials are stored encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and are used only to maintain the user's authorized Google connection and perform user-requested actions.

YouTube API Services Disclosure

Charigent uses YouTube API Services (including the YouTube Data API v3 and YouTube Analytics API) when you explicitly connect your YouTube channel in the Charigent Social Command Center or Connections dashboard. By connecting your YouTube channel or using Charigent's YouTube integration features, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and acknowledge that Google handles your data in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy.

When authorized by the creator, Charigent requests the following YouTube OAuth scopes solely for user-initiated actions on the creator's own channel:

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload — Used in the Social Command Center and Video Studio so creators can upload and schedule 9:16 YouTube Shorts and standard videos directly to their own connected YouTube channel after manual review and approval.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly — Used to display the connected YouTube channel's profile metadata (channel title, custom handle, avatar, subscriber count, and video count) and list uploaded videos for performance tracking.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.force-ssl — Used in the Omnichannel Social Inbox to fetch comment threads on the creator's own videos and post creator-approved replies to audience comments.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/yt-analytics.readonly — Used in the Social Analytics dashboard to display channel watch time, views, average view duration, and subscriber growth trends for the authenticated creator's own channel.

User Controls & Revoking Access

Users can disconnect Google Calendar, YouTube, or any other Google integration at any time from the Charigent dashboard (/dashboard/connections), which immediately revokes and deletes stored OAuth tokens.

In addition to Charigent's normal disconnect procedure, users may revoke Charigent's access to their Google and YouTube data at any time via the Google security settings page (myaccount.google.com/permissions). Account deletion and privacy requests are handled as described in the Charigent Privacy Policy and Data Deletion page.
